The beautiful island of Fanø is easily accessible. After a 12-minute ferry journey from Esbjerg, Denmark's fifth-largest city, you'll reach the island. You might even be greeted by seals at the landing stage.

Fanø, just under 16 kilometres long and less than 5 kilometres wide, is perfect for exploring by bicycle. The island is incredibly diverse - sea, beach, dunes, forest and heath - there's so much to discover and experience. The villages of Sønderho and Nordby invite you to stroll through their charming lanes and enjoy a typical Danish soft ice cream.
