Beskrivelse
Welcome to our lovely cottage, perfectly located in a cozy holiday home area near Feggesund and Ejerslev Havn. The house offers three comfortable bedrooms: two with bunk beds and one with a double bed. The open kitchen and living room create a spacious and inviting atmosphere where you can enjoy each other's company.
In the cozy nook with a fireplace, you can relax and enjoy the cool evenings. Outside, you will find a lovely terrace with garden furniture and a grill, ideal for cozy barbecue evenings.
The area around the house is a natural gem with fantastic nature experiences right outside the door. There are good hiking opportunities, and the fjord invites you to exciting kayak trips. Ejerslev Havn, which is nearby, is worth a visit with its beautiful nature and maritime atmosphere. Here you will also find a bathing jetty where you can take a refreshing dip and enjoy the view of the harbor. Ejerslev Havn is known for its impressive moler cliffs, which are over 55 million years old and contain well-preserved fossils. The surrounding lagoon with its clear, turquoise water is perfect for a relaxing walk or a SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) tour. The lagoon and moler cliffs create a unique nature experience that both locals and visitors love.
Nordmors is also home to several other well-known moler formations. Feggeklit is an impressive moler embankment that used to be an island in the sea. Feggeklit is covered with grass on the west side, while the east side has steep cliffs with visible layers of moler. According to legend, King Fegge was buried here after being murdered by Hamlet. Hanklit is a 60-meter-high cliff, known for its unique layers of moler and volcanic ash, which are clearly visible as dark stripes in the light cliff material. Hanklit is a popular excursion destination where visitors can find fossils and enjoy breathtaking views. Salgjerhøj is the highest point on Mors at 89 meters. From the top, you have a fantastic view over the Limfjord and the surrounding landscape. Salgjerhøj is part of a protected area that also includes Hanklit.
Nykøbing Mors, the island's largest town and cultural center, is only a 15-minute drive from the cottage. The town offers many interesting holiday experiences all within walking distance. The town has about 9,000 inhabitants and a rich history, which includes the old Dueholm Monastery, now part of the Morsland Historical Museum. The town center buzzes with life, especially in the summer, when ByNight is held every Wednesday with performances by well-known artists. The lively pedestrian street connects the town and leads down to the harbor and marina, which is full of life throughout the summer. The harbor area is very popular among the many sailors in the Limfjord. Nykøbing Mors is also known for its Shellfish Festival, which attracts thousands of guests every June who taste the delicacies from the Limfjord's large pantry. In October, the oyster season is marked with the annual Oyster & Mussel Premiere, reminding everyone that Nykøbing Mors is Denmark's shellfish capital.
Within a 45-minute drive from the cottage, you will find several exciting tourist attractions:
Nationalpark Thy, Denmark's first national park, offers unique nature experiences with its vast dune landscapes, red deer, and cranes. The park stretches along the North Sea and offers many hiking and cycling trails where you can experience the wild and rugged nature.
Skive, a charming town by the Limfjord, offers cultural experiences, shopping, and gastronomy. The town has a rich cultural life with museums, galleries, and cozy cafés. Skive is also known for its beautiful parks and green areas where you can relax and enjoy nature.
Fur, a small island in the Limfjord, offers beautiful nature, art, fossils, and great cycling and walking tours. A popular activity is the "Fur Rundt" hike, which is about 22 km long and can also be cycled. Fur Bryghus is worth a visit, where you can enjoy a good meal and taste their many beers.
