This large holiday home of 240 sqm is situated on a 1390 sqm enclosed plot with plenty of space for outdoor play. The house is ideal for gathering the whole family and is located in the small village of Egens Havhuse, just a stone’s throw from Kalø Vig, a popular spot for windsurfing and kitesurfing. It is also the gateway to Mols and Mols Bjerge. Aarhus is just a 30-minute drive away. The house was originally built in 1875, renovated and expanded in 2004, and updated again in 2018.

On the ground floor, the house features a spacious kitchen/dining area with a wood-burning stove, providing ample space for cooking and dining together, even for family celebrations. Additionally, there is a large living room with access to the lovely, enclosed garden, where you’ll find the second wood-burning stove. The ground floor also includes two bedrooms with double beds and a bathroom.

On the first floor, there are four bedrooms: three with single beds and one with a double bed, which opens onto a balcony with views of Kalø Vig. There is also a common area, a large bathroom, and a walk-in closet.

Egens Strandhuse is located by Kalø Vig, with the small, very old Egens Church behind it and a view of the Kalø Castle Ruins. Sometimes you can spot a seal basking on a stone in the sun. It’s also one of the places where people still fish using bottom nets, and there’s a steeping and taring area. The steeping area is where the nets are hung up for cleaning and drying.

Today, Egens Havhuse is just as much a hotspot for kite- and windsurfers, especially in the part of the bay known as 'Hullet'. When the wind is from the northwest to south-southwest, surfers come all the way from Aarhus to hit the waves here.
