The village of Kongsmark is located on the east side in the middle of Rømø, a Wadden Sea island known for its beautiful and diverse landscape. It's a popular holiday area, with the family-friendly Lakolk beach just 2.2 miles (3.5 km) away. At the Wadden Sea, you can join oyster or seal-watching safaris or enjoy lovely walks with your dog.

At certain times of the year, you can witness the natural phenomenon known as the "Black Sun", when starlings gather to perform their impressive aerial displays. Don't forget to bring your binoculars. Rømø offers numerous nature experiences, especially along the long, wide sandy beach that's perfect for walks, refreshing swims, or water sports.
