Well-equipped and exceptionally energy-efficient holiday home

This thoroughly insulated holiday home features two heat pumps. The air-to-air heat pump provides energy-efficient heating in winter and acts as air conditioning in summer. To further reduce energy consumption, an air-to-water heat pump was installed in 2016, serving the underfloor heating, radiators and hot water supply.

This unique wooden thatched holiday home underwent complete renovation in 2009 - creating an architectural gem. The interior features light décor in white, grey, black and brown tones, providing a thoughtful contrast to Rømø's vibrant palette of green, blue, purple, red, orange and yellow.

The living room, combined with the kitchen, features underfloor heating and is equipped with comfortable leather seating, a 50" 4K UHD LED Smart TV, Chromecast, 5.1 surround sound with Bluetooth, satellite connection, stereo system with CD player, and wireless smartphone chargers. A centrally placed wood-burning stove and air-to-air heat pump complete the space.

The splendid, functional kitchen, with heated brick flooring, includes a new fan-assisted oven with grill and pyrolytic cleaning, new induction hobs, 3-function microwave, dishwasher, and a new frost-free fridge/freezer with 97-litre capacity.

The three separate ground floor bedrooms all feature wooden flooring and double beds with box-spring mattresses, complete with winter and summer duvets, pillows and mattress protectors. In two rooms, the double beds can be easily separated into singles. A floor-to-ceiling railing surrounds the large open-plan first floor, offering views over the living and dining area with exposed tie beams, sloping ceilings and skylights. The skylights provide beautiful natural light to the living room, open upper floor and the upstairs bedroom (with sloping walls). From the two double beds, you can stargaze through the windows. The open upper floor features a Full HD LED TV with digital channels, while the bedroom includes a 32" Full LED Smart TV with Chromecast, 5.1 surround sound with Bluetooth and DVD player.

Two tiled bathrooms with underfloor heating. One bathroom features a wellness shower cabin with light and aromatherapy. The large bathroom includes a shower enclosure, a two-person whirlpool with adjustable air and water massage and light therapy, plus access to the sauna. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also provided.

Beautiful terraces and fantastic natural surroundings

The house sits in a peaceful location on a plot sheltered by windbreak trees. It features a 65-square-metre terrace facing east, south and west, furnished with garden furniture and a stone barbecue - perfect for enjoyable summer evening dining outdoors.

The grounds include a swing, covered sandpit and trampoline for children. Complimentary high-speed fibre broadband is provided.

This wellness-focused holiday home is situated in Denmark's largest national park and beside the Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Centrally located on Rømø, it's just 2 miles (3,200 metres) from Lakolk Beach, the world's widest beach - easily accessible on foot, by bicycle or car. Don't miss visiting the fantastic Wadden Sea on the island's east side - Europe's largest pantry for migratory birds.

Out of consideration for the abundant birdlife, numerous hares and deer, and grazing cattle, dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
