The small harbour town of Hvide Sande is nearby, offering various shopping facilities and excellent restaurants. At "Fiskeriets Hus" (the Fishing House museum), you can learn more about the local area and fishing heritage around Hvide Sande. Afterwards, enjoy a Danish soft-serve ice cream while strolling along the lock gates and waving to the returning fishing boats.
