The North Sea is just a short stroll away, and a path behind the house leads directly to the beach, where you can feel the sand between your toes, go for long walks, or try your hand at amber hunting - a popular local activity.

Cycle paths and walking trails wind through the vast dune landscape, with the North Sea on one side and Ringkøbing Fjord on the other. Why not pack a picnic for your journey? The local shop in Bjerregård has plenty of treats, and you can pick up fresh rolls from the baker's in the morning.

For those fancying a spot of shopping, the small harbour town of Hvide Sande is ideal. Here you can buy fresh fish directly from the quay or sample various fish specialities in the fish shops and smokehouses.
