Welcome to our Schlossblick holiday home! The holiday home is located about 500 metres from Lake Edersee on a south-facing plot of almost 600 square metres. It is very quiet, surrounded by trees with a wonderful view of Waldeck Castle and a small part of the Edersee. You can reach the Kellerwaldsteig and Urwaldstieg trails of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park directly through the lower exit of the property. From there, there is a beautiful "viewing bench" on the right, where you can enjoy a bottle of red wine and a piece of cheese with a fantastic view of the Edersee. The village centre can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes.

The house is 40 square metres in size and offers space for 2 people. It is divided into two bedrooms (the second bedroom is a connecting room to the bathroom), a living room with an integrated kitchen and a bathroom as well as a terrace with a view of Waldeck Castle. You can also see Lake Edersee through the trees of the national park. The living room, with a view of the lake and the castle, is accessed directly from the terrace. It is furnished with a dining table for up to four people. The antique living room cupboard has enough space for hanging laundry. A cosy sofa and an armchair are grouped around a small table. There is also a radio with CD player, various books, board games and other accessories. The TV has a satellite receiver and radio connection... . The kitchenette with 2-plate ceramic hob, oven, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and sink is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery and the necessary cooking utensils. The bedroom has a double bed with book shelf. There is plenty of space for laundry in the chest of drawers. The window, like all other windows, is fitted with shutters. There is direct access to the garden from the bedroom. The second bedroom is furnished with a 1.00 metre wide bed. The bathroom is equipped as standard with a washbasin, WC and shower with cubicle. The bathroom can be heated via underfloor heating. Overall, the house is characterised by its individual furnishings and cosy atmosphere throughout. The south-facing garden is fully fenced so that dogs can run free. The partially covered terrace is equipped with benches, table and chairs as well as a parasol. An ashtray is available for smokers. For reasons of hygiene, we ask you not to smoke in the house. The garden area is equipped with various sunbeds and a flagpole.

The south-facing veranda is sheltered from the wind and has a view of Waldeck Castle, the garden and part of the lake, so you can enjoy the sun all year round. The location of the house offers an ideal starting point for hiking and walking: There is a small garden gate at the bottom of the property through which you can directly access the Kellerwaldsteig, one of the most famous hiking trails in the national park.

Excursions: Bad Wildungen, Bad Arolsen, Frankenberg, Korbach, Waldeck Castle, Sperrmauer, wildlife park, summer toboggan run, climbing park.......Ortsbeschreibung : Waldeck (200-400 m, 1808 inhabitants). The old mountain and half-timbered town of Waldeck with its romantic half-timbered houses and late Gothic church with carved altar is situated on a hill that slopes steeply on all sides. Opposite, on a wooded hilltop high above Lake Edersee, lies the region's landmark, Waldeck Castle. Countless visitors enjoy the unique view from the terrace over Lake Edersee and the Eder mountains, visit the castle museum, the fountain and the dungeons. A wide range of leisure activities such as diving, sailing, surfing, swimming in the lido, tennis, fishing, horse riding, mini-golf and golf on the partially public golf course, sightseeing flights in motorised and glider planes and trips on the passenger boat or cable car to the castle or lake make the heart of every sportsman or recreation seeker beat faster. All accommodation options as well as restaurants, cafés and ice cream parlours are available. The market square is surrounded by shops, banks, a pharmacy and a general practitioner's surgery. There is also a local dental practice. Other sports and leisure facilities: Everything the Edersee and the National Park (Unesco World Heritage Site) have to offer.
