A taste of paradise! This lovely holiday home is just 99 steps from the shores of Lake Vänern. From the house and the property, you have a panoramic view of the lake to the west, allowing you to enjoy the fantastic sunsets. Welcome to a magnificent holiday home for up to 4 people who appreciate comfort.

When the weather is good, it feels wonderful to cook in the well-equipped kitchen (oven, stove, microwave, small air fryer, countertop dishwasher, coffee maker, and kettle) and carry your meal to the lake in perhaps 30 seconds to dine while enjoying the sunset. This location is known for its fantastic sunsets, and if you stay for a week with clear weather, you’ll have many beautiful pictures on your cellphone! The holiday home and the beach are on the right side of Lake Vänern for magical sunsets.

The house itself is modern and bright. There is one bedroom with 2 single beds. The living room and kitchen are open plan. The other two sleeping places are on a sofa bed. The dining area features a high "bar table" with tall chairs, allowing all 4 guests to enjoy the wonderful view over Lake Vänern. Here, you find Bluetooth speakers, Wi-Fi 5-G, a smart TV, Chromecast, and Netflix. Bathroom with toilet, shower cubicle, and a fully automatic washing machine. Water supply and sewage disposal are municipal. At the back of the house, there is a small covered terrace, where it’s cozy to sit when it lightly rains in the evening or when the wind picks up from the lake—perhaps with a glass of wine in hand and candles on the table. Pets are welcome, but please keep an eye on "your friend," as there are other houses in the vicinity, and Highway 26 is nearby.

Two bicycles are available for your use (provided previous guests have left them in good condition). The property is perfect for playing and relaxing. Lake Vänern is the largest lake in the EU (the 26th largest in the world), and no matter how hard you try, you won’t see the western shore; the lake feels more like an inland sea. Fishing in Lake Vänern is free for anyone with a fishing rod and hook. Take a walk along the beautiful coastal promenade. You shouldn’t miss it.

In summer, it can be fun for the kids to visit Askeviks Camping, about 400 meters from the house. Here, there’s a playground, a restaurant, and surely opportunities to make new friends. The area is one of Sweden's most popular destinations for excursions. It takes 7 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bike to reach the beautiful Sjötorp, where the Göta Canal begins. If you Google Göta Canal, you won't want to miss this experience. 12 minutes by car will take you to Gullspång, known for its Gullspång salmon. This salmon is exceptionally large but threatened, which is why the area is one of the EU's Natura 2000 sites. There are salmon ladders you can visit, and with a bit of luck, you might see one of the giant salmon swimming upstream. Mariestad is the nearest town—a charming small town with about 17,000 inhabitants, many restaurants, cafes, and all the major supermarkets.

The holiday home is best suited for a couple seeking relaxation or perhaps for a family with small children. The house is not accessible for youth groups, as there are several houses in the area occupied by families.
