The house "Casa Bela Vista", which means "House Beautiful View", is situated above Pedreira/Nordeste, facing east. A marvellous view of the village and the sea awaits you. This house is an ideal starting point for hikers.
The approximately 200-year-old house, built from volcanic stone, was purchased as a ruin in August 2015 and then completely gutted and rebuilt from October 2015 to October 2016, whereby the owners placed great importance on preserving the original character of the house. To this end, certain elements such as the window frames and door frames were left in their original state. The interior of this 80 m² holiday home, which can accommodate up to four people, leaves nothing to be desired. The light-flooded living room with new, indirect lighting has a Swedish stove, a stereo system including a CD player with many CDs, Blue Tooth for connecting to your smartphone, a TV and a free Wi-Fi internet connection. The kitchen integrated into the living room with granite worktop is equipped with all modern kitchen appliances including a dishwasher and is ideal for cooking, frying and baking. The dining area consists of a dining table with four chairs and the seating area offers a cosy sofa. Two bedrooms with new, stain-free mattresses in the beds and proper duvets (unheard of in the Azores) ensure a healthy and restful night's sleep. The large bedroom has two single beds (190 x 100 cm - pushed together 190 x 200 cm). The small bedroom has a double bed (140 x 190 cm). A set of bed linen and two towels per person per week are always included in the rental price. However, the highlight of the house is the bathroom, which leaves nothing to be desired with a walk-in shower and a hot tub with a view over the east of the island. The two bedrooms and the bathroom have permanently installed electric radiators, while the living room and kitchen are heated by a 12 KW Swedish stove. Firewood for the Swedish stove and the barbecue is included in the price. Washing machine and tumble dryer can be used for a fee.
The Use of the sauna is not included in the price. It costs €55 for two hours and 1 - 2 persons, payable on site. This gives you the exclusive use of the sauna (no other guests).
A 40 m², L-shaped, covered veranda, which cannot be seen, allows you to sit outside in almost any weather.
The sandy beach is about five kilometres away. The nearest shopping facilities are just over one kilometre away.
